Could there be a TV show about Justin Bieber’s life? ABC is developing a single-camera comedy based upon the pop superstar. While the idea was first brought up last year, the show is still being kicked around by the alphabet network for the upcoming season. Bieber and manager Scooter Braun would executive produce the show. Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, who previously worked on Entourage, are writing the script and will also produce. [TV Guide]

ABC’s Scandal is getting the eyes it deserves and has achieved its second week of series highs for total viewers and the ad-coveted 18-49 year demographic. The sophomore drama scored 7.8 million total viewers. As expected, CBS won the night with its lineup. The Big Bang Theory nabbed 16.8 million viewers while Person of Interest garnered 14.3 million viewers. Both of FOX’s shows, The X Factor and Glee, slipped a bit in the ratings. [TVLine]

FOX’s The Mindy Project has promoted recurring actor Beth Grant to series regular status for the revamped second half of Season 1. Grant, who plays the pot-smoking nurse Beverly, has only appeared on one episode thus far. Recently, the freshman comedy downgraded Anna Camp, who played Mindy’s BFF to a recurring role. [THR]

Merlin will begin its final run on Jan. 4. The fifth and final season of the show will include 13 all-new episodes. This season, Camelot is at its highest and there is only one person standing between Arthur and his destiny – Merlin. Season 5 will  premiere on Jan. 4 at 10 PM on Syfy. [Syfy]
