'Tis the season to celebrate one of Hollywood’s sexiest stars.

Brad Pitt is turning 49 on Tuesday -- and proving that he's only gotten hotter with age. From his breakout role in Thelma & Louise in 1991 (you remember those abs, don't you?) to this year's Killing Them Softly, the golden-haired god has now been lighting up the silver screen for more than two decades.

 

And in that time, he's gone from just another pretty face (you're still thinking of those abs, right?) to serious thespian. In fact, his acting efforts have earned him three Oscar nominations: for 12 Monkeys, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Moneyball.

 

He's also changed his look for many of those roles -- and rocked more than a few red carpets with a variety of styles. Whether he was slimming down or buffing up, rocking pretty-boy coiffes or sporting long locks, or looking  clean-shaven or super-scraggly, we were always left weak in the knees by Mr. Pitt.
