‘Glee’s’ Becca Tobin Shares Christmas Flashback: Her ‘Hilarious’ and ‘Awkward’ First Role (EXCLUSIVE PHOTO)
Before she was a Cheerio, a pint-sized Tobin made her big debut as the Christmas tree in her school’s holiday pageant at age four. Who said Kitty didn’t have holiday spirit?
“I went to a Montessori school in Atlanta, and I actually have a Jewish father, so it’s so hilarious and ironic that I played the Christmas tree in the Christmas pageant,” Tobin told Celebuzz. “But that was the first time I had ever stepped on stage and done a performance.”
“My parents say I thoroughly enjoyed myself, which I believe,” she added. “It was this awkward, giant tree costume [laughs], but apparently, I didn’t complain for one second. If Glee threw that on me now, there may be some complaints. I was happy to do it — happy to play a tree.”
Christmas tree ensemble in 1982’s Grease 2. (The movie may have been a dud, but the Pink Ladies’ talent show number, “A Girl For All Seasons,” was a classic.) Luckily, Tobin is a fan.
“I am a Grease 2 fan! I think I might be one of 10,” Tobin admitted. “‘Cool Rider’ is a great song… Let’s hope there’s a Glease 2 episode in the works. I already have the perfect costume,” she joked.
