The controversial couple remained out of the spotlight on New Year's Eve but caught everyone's attention the next day on Instagram, where they each posted photos of themselves in bed — implying they rang in 2013 together.
"Good morning! Still haven't slept lol #hello2013," Rihanna wrote alongside a snapshot of herself, sleepily peeking out of a polka dot comforter.

The now-infamous polka dot comforter was also featured in Brown's photo, "Mornings," which featured a glimpse of their room from his bed. We'll let you do the math.
From posting scandalous pics to possibly heading down the aisle, the R&B singer and her beau have racked up a number of controversies throughout the past year since mending their rocky relationship.
They most recently raised eyebrows over the holidays as they snuggled courtside at the Lakers-Knicks game on Dec. 25.
