Katie Holmes Arrives for Final Performance of ‘Dead Accounts’ on Broadway (PHOTOS)
That’s all she wrote.
Katie Holmes and her co-stars arrived one last time toNew York City’s Music Box Theater on Sunday for the final performance of their play Dead Accounts.
The show, which opened on Broadway on Nov. 29, announced in late December that it was closing seven weeks ahead of schedule due low ticket sales.
Holmes, 34, portrays a Cincinnati woman named Lorna whose con-man brother Jack (Norbert Leo Butz) unexpectedly returns home from the Big Apple to cause family trouble. Judy Greer, Josh Hamilton and Janye Houdyshell also star in the play.
“I have a hard time sleeping because I think about how serious this all is,” Holmes told The New York Times in November.
“I think about the cost of tickets. I think to myself: ‘You better do a good job. People are paying a lot of money.’ You want to know your stuff.’
Dead Accounts will wrap with 27 preview performances and 44 regular performances following Sunday’s matinee.
Holmes last appeared on Broadway in 2008’s revival of All My Sons by Arthur Miller.
