Is Rihanna Back in Chris Brown’s Arms? (PHOTO)
The “Diamonds” songstress revealed the cover for “Stay,” the second single from her album, Unapologetic, on Wednesday. And true to form, Rihanna’s risque cover art has left tongues wagging — it shows the singer nestling in a man’s neck, one that is inked in the very same spot where Brown tattooed a woman’s battered face.
Now as her fans and Twitter followers speculate about the mystery man on the single cover, the song itself may provide some insight. “Stay,” the emotional track that RiRi debuted on Saturday Night Live in November, pulls at the heart strings.
Direct Lyrics). “Ohhh the reason I hold on/ Ohhh cause I need this hole gone/ Funny you’re the broken one but i’m the only one who needed saving/ Cause when you never see the lights it’s hard to know which one of us is caving.”
The eyebrow-raising cover art comes after weeks of Rihanna and Brown being back out and about together. After snuggling courtside at the Lakers-Knicks game on Christmas Day in Los Angeles, Calif., the on-and-off lovers set the rumor mill in motion again on New Years day, when they each posted photos on Instagram what appeared to be the same bed.
Just days later, the controversial maybe-couple — who duet on Rihanna’s Unapologetic track, “Nobodies Business” — took a spin around Los Angeles, Calif., stopping by a fast-food drive-thru to grab a bite. Still, Rihanna, 24, and Brown, 23, have both shut down suspicions that they’re officially an item again.
definitively denied that she was back on with her once-abusive ex-beau in November, Brown sang the same tune when he dismissed all rumors regarding a Rihanna romance during a radio interview.
“Me and her have history, and me and her are definitely always going to be best of friends,” he said during a sit-down with Los Angeles’ Power 106 radio station. “We’re working on our friendship now.”
