On Friday, Leonardo DiCaprio said that he plans on taking a significant break from filming.

“I am a bit drained. I’m now going to take a long, long break. I’ve done three films in two years and I’m just worn out,” he told Germany’s Daily Bild, according to The 38-year-old actor is currently starring in Quentin Tarantino’s Golden Globe-winning film Django Unchained, and recently completed The Great Gatsby and The Wolf of Wall Street.

“I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment,” he added.

Did you know DiCaprio was so green?

“My roof is covered with solar panels. My car is electric. A normal person does not drive more than 50 kilometres (31 miles) a day. That can be done with a plug,” the Titanic star explained.

After being blessed with a fortunate career — including nominations for multiple awards based on his performances, such as Best Actor for his roles in The Aviator and Blood Diamond, it appears as though DiCaprio just wants to focus on environmental campaigning.

And maybe enjoying his bachelor lifestyle…

However, depending on how long the break actually is, we may not really miss the Hollywood hunk on the silver screen. Not only is a year or two not altogether that long a period of time in Hollywood, The Great Gatsby and The Wolf of Wall Street are scheduled for release in 2013, ensuring that we don’t forget about him during his departure.
