Zac Efron Chooses Cars, Girls Over Family Business in ‘At Any Price’ (VIDEO)
A new trailer for the film, also starring Dennis Quaid and Heather Graham, hit the web on Friday.
Zac Efron may be all bundled up on the New York set of his new romantic comedy these days, but in his upcoming drama At Any Price, the situation is quite the opposite.
In the new trailer for the new Ramin Bahrani film, unleashed by Sony Pictures Classics on Friday, Efron strips down to a tank top in several scenes, gets sweaty in another, and makes out with Heather Graham in the next.
Efron, 25, is Dean Whipple, son of Henry Whipple (Dennis Quaid), an Iowa seed farmer who wants his firstborn to continue the family business.
The problem? Henry wants to race cars and one day, compete in Nascar.
In September, following the film’s screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, Roger Ebert called the picture “a brave, layered film that challenges the wisdom of victory at any price.”
“Both of its central characters would slip easily into conventional plot formulas, but Bahrani looks deeply into their souls and finds so much more.”
At Any Price opens in April.
