First, it was dueling volcano movies. Then planet-killing asteroid/comet pictures. Now, Hollywood has two competing John McAfee movies in the works. Running in the Background, from Equinoxe Films, is a $28 million feature based on the life of the wealthy tech wiz-turned-global fugitive. Background comes in the wake after Warner Bros. announcement to release their own McAfee project written and directed by Crazy, Stupid, Love's John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, based on a Wired Magazine article. Release dates for both projects are pending. [Deadline]
