Kyle Richards really should stop her attempts to play hostess at dinner parties. You would think when the events she and her real estate mogul husband Mauricio Umansky throw on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wind up with more fights than a college kid during Spring Break, it should be their cue to stop trying to “bring the group” together, right? Sadly, it isn’t the case.

Last week, Kyle tried to show newbie housewife Marisa Zanuck, the playful side of the group, since her last dinner party ended up showcasing how high school the women could act. This time, Mauricio decided to take it upon himself to defend poor defenseless Adrienne Maloof and then husband Paul Nassif, against the powerful and cutthroat Brandi’s accusations.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t viewed Monday’s episode, “Home Is Where the Art Is.”

While we get Mauricio trying to defend his friends, shouldn’t he let his friends fight their own battles? It would save him a world of trouble. Not to mention, it could have prevented Brandi from cursing him out like a truck driver during rush hour traffic as she did during this episode. It was naïve of Mauricio to say if Brandi apologized over the phone to Adrienne things would be OK. How so, especially since lawyers are involved?

On the other side of the room, Taylor Armstrong felt as if she couldn’t be left out of the fray, and moaned about her problems to an uninterested Camille Grammer. We get Taylor’s been through hell and back, but sweetie, what do your issues have to do with the huge blowup between Brandi and Adrienne? Yolanda Foster was spot on when she told Taylor she was talking “utter nonsense.” Take a number Taylor, it’s someone else’s turn to shine. It isn’t always about you.

Kyle claimed to the group that she was not taking sides because both women are her friends, but all that changed later in the week. She met up with the Maloof-Nassif duo, and chose a side. Both Kyle and Mauricio were quick to rat out Brandi’s outburst at the Moroccan dinner madness, but left out how Mauricio badgered Brandi to give Adrienne and Paul apologies.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t those two issue a “Sorry” to Brandi as well? Did anyone else forget Adrienne calling Brandi a drug addict that neglects her kids? Why is she allowed a pass and not Brandi? No one is excusing Brandi from the mysterious allegations she made against Adrienne and Paul, but why is her behavior under the microscope and not theirs? It must be Adrienne’s infamous tinseled extensions that give her the green light to spew outlandish things.

Buzz Moments

OMG!: Kim Richards’ psychic reading about her future grandkids. She couldn’t tell her about that dreadful Moroccan dinner?

Thank you, TV gods.: Adrienne telling Kyle and Mauricio her issues with Brandi are between the two of them. They aren’t teens and don’t need backup, Kyle.

Awk-ward: Marisa telling Brandi her husband is the opposite of what she’s attracted to. Yeah, what a icebreaker at dinner.

Hotness: Lisa’s husband Ken Todd in a “model sandwich” with her friends. Not a shabby way to hang out at an art gallery.

Fab-u-lous: Lisa’s outfit at the art gallery event. Now we see why Ken chases her around the house all the time.

Can. Not. Wait.: Brandi’s girls’ weekend trip to Las Vegas. When there’s a trip, there is drama.
