25 Ways to Go Sheer
Whether you go a little like Miranda Kerr, a lot like Kristen Stewart or somewhere in-between, find out how to translate this red carpet trend to your real life.
Stars with very different styles, including Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, Heidi Klum, Rihanna and more, have all been spotted see-through styles on the red carpet -- some with greater success than others. Other celebs like Miranda Kerr have taken the trend for a spin during daylight hours, pairing sheer blouses with skirts and pants.
Not for the faint of heart or the shy, the daring trend definitely takes a willingness to show some skin -- and some styling finesse to pull off. "Wearing this trend can be tricky, but when done right it could be seen as elegant and very lady-like," says model and fashion expert Jaimie Hilfiger.
Game to try? Whether you want to go a little sheer ... or a lot (or a lot, a lot), here are the secrets to pulling off the sexy red carpet trend in real life.
Where to Wear It: Sheer styles are actually a lot more versatile than you think, according to Hilfiger, who says they can take you from the office (that's right!) to out.
"When we first saw sheer hit the runways many of us thought that it was meant just for that, but designers really started to add their own variations (i.e sheer cutouts) which made this look ready-to-wear for the office as well," Hilfiger says.
How to Make the Sheer Trend Work for Your Body: Pick what you want to highlight and cover up the rest. "I feel that many people were so attracted to this trend because it highlighted whatever part of your body that you wanted it to by choosing which piece you wanted to go sheer."
