“I am not sharing his name at the moment. It is very personal to me,” Adele told People backstage at the 2013 Golden Globes, where she debuted her post-baby body and took home the trophy for Best Original Song for her Skyfall theme. “I am enjoying him on my own.”
Adele did divulge, however, her special nickname for her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki: “I just call him Little Peanut.”
But now, the notoriously private pop star has left tongues wagging with a name-place necklace. While in West Hollywood, Calif., Adele stopped by high-end baby boutique Bel-Bambini wearing a gold necklace that seems to spell out the name “Angelo”, leaving many wondering if that could be the name on her 3-month-old son’s birth certificate.
As the world waits official word on the moniker, Adele has been confirmed to perform her Oscar-nominated James Bond theme at the 85th Academy Awards on Feb. 23, which will mark the first time she sings the tune live anywhere.
During the ceremony, “Skyfall” will also compete against the crème de la crème in the star-studded category for the Best Original Song Oscar: the Scarlett Johansson-sung “Before My Time” from Chasing Ice; the Norah Jones-sung and Seth MacFarlane-written “Everybody Needs a Best Friend” from Ted; “Pi’s Lullaby” from Life of Pi; and Hugh Jackman‘s heart-wrenching “Suddenly” from Les Misérables.
Not only is “Skyfall” a frontrunner for the Best Original Song statuette — and the first nominee in a decade to also have been a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 — but James Bond will also be honored in a feature segment that pays tribute to the franchise’s 50th anniversary.
Weigh in: Do you think Adele would reveal her baby’s name on a necklace without saying a word?
