Even superheroes and their trusty sidekicks can get into disagreements. On this week’s episode of The CW’s hit series, Arrow, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and the only guy he trusts with his secret, Diggle (David Ramsey) are going to face some rough points in their friendship.
On the episode, called “Trust But Verify,” the two buddies will come to find themselves on opposite ends of a battle when Oliver’s handy-dandy list shows up with a name on it that just so happens to be a friend of Dig’s. Oliver says anyone on the list is evil, but Dig, of course, isn’t so ready to call things that black and white and would rather Ollie ask questions first and shoot arrows second.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim talks about the fireworks fans can expect to see in a special producer’s preview of the episode (watch the video above). “Oliver targets someone on the list that is Diggle’s friend. What this decision does is places a huge rift between the two partners,” Guggenheim said. “It’s all about trust and betrayal of trust, and we really get a chance to put the Oliver/Diggle partnership into this pressure cooker and see what explosions ensue.”
In the video, we can see that things are going to get so tense in fact that Dig and Oliver are going to end up facing each other as enemies, gun versus bow. These are two guys have been getting along so well until now, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens when they end up fighting each other instead of bad guys.
But the episode will have at least a few light moments, thanks to it being someone’s special birthday. Miss Thea (Willa Holland) is turning 18 during the episode and it seems she has her sights set on a shiny new car as the perfect present. But it may not be the lack of car in the driveway on her birthday that will have Thea upset at her mother (Susanna Thompson). Seems she’s going to get wind of the fact that mommy dearest has some sort of relationship with Malcolm (John Barrowman). According to Guggenheim, “sparks will fly” when the news gets out.
It sounds like this episode of Arrow is going to be full of ups and downs.
What do you think will happen when Oliver and Dig go mano-a-mano? Will Thea confront her mother about Malcolm?
Leave it to Miley Cyrus to ditch her underwear (and make it known) at a classy event. The 22-year-old showed up at the 2015 Met Gala wearing a hot, cut-out Alexander Wang dress that not only showed off her toned figure, but also the fact that she is indeed going commando. While many people disliked…
