Jennifer Lawrence Has Pneumonia, Skips AACTA Awards in West Hollywood
The 22-year-old actress also had the flu at the Golden Globe Awards two weeks ago.
On Saturday, Jennifer Lawrence was a no show when she was named Best Actress at the second annual Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts' (AACTA) International Awards in West Hollywood, Calif.
Accepting the award on her behalf was her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jacki Weaver, who announced that Lawrence was suffering from a case of pneumonia.
"Poor Jen is really sick. She really is sick," Weaver said at the podium.
Lawrence’s illness comes just two weeks after the 70th Golden Globe Awards, where she announced she had the flu.Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet while donning a gorgeous Dior haute couture gown.
Let’s hope Lawrence has a fast recovery, otherwise she may also have to skip Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. The 22-year-old actress is both a nominee and a presenter.
