Though Washington D.C. isn't typically the focus of the nation's fashionistas, last week it was: The Inauguration of President Obama had fashion lovers on the lookout to see the what the First Lady and her daughters, Sasha and Malia would be wearing to all the inaugural events.
While trying to keep warm standing outside during the ceremony, the ladies were color-coordinated in their dress coats and scarves. But what really got people talking was the First Lady's red Jason Wu gown at the inaugural ball. Critics worried if Michelle Obama could pull off another stunning look again and she hit it out of the park.
As much of the country was hit with a cold freeze, some of our favorite stars, including Jessica Biel and Naomi Watts came to our rescue, with chic cold-weather fashion inspiration. Leaving sunny California behind for the snowy slopes of Park City, Utah, some of Hollywood's hottest stars offered us plenty of ideas for staying warm and stylish this winter.
They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but Kim Kardashian has never been one to follow trends. The reality star is dripping in gold thanks to her future baby daddy Kanye West. The red carpet trend is completely transferable to your real life. In case you missed our tips, check them out here. But black and gold wasn't the only red carpet trend we broke down.
