Kris Jenner Talk Show Gets Test Run on FOX Stations (VIDEO)

It’s official: Kardashian matriarch and definitive mom-ager Kris Jenner is hitting the small screen with her own daytime talk show titled simply, Kris.

“This is something I have wanted to do all my life, so it’s definitely a dream come true! I can’t wait for this new adventure to begin and look forward to working alongside Twentieth Television and the FOX Television Stations,” Jenner says via a statement on Monday.

The one-hour talker will get a test run on FOX stations in select markets, including Los Angeles and New York City this summer. Shooting the show in L.A., Jenner is keeping it close to the clan’s home base. It will include celebrity interviews, fashion and beauty segments, as well as other lifestyle segments.

“Whether offering real advice to her family or sharing personal moments with viewers, Kris is honest, compelling, entertaining, and unscripted – all excellent qualities for a daytime talk show host,” Twentieth Television’s Development & Programming EVP, Stephen Brown, says.

“The Fox Television Stations are the perfect partners for this talk show as they continue to have a successful track record of previewing hit, first-run syndicated programming on their stations,” he continued.

Both Wendy Williams and Bethenny Frankel’s talk shows had a similar test run in select markets before they were picked up nationally.

Jenner enters a competitive field in the post-Oprah Winfrey daytime talk show world. Recently failed shows include ones hosted by Anderson Cooper and Oprah protégé Nate Berkus. Meanwhile, Jeff Probst’s new show is undergoing a makeover.

Steve Harvey and Katie Couric's new shows have seen some ratings success. But, Jenner may have to face off with new offerings from Frankel and Queen Latifah, which are expected to launch this year.
