Here's Why Rihanna's Been Holed Up in the U.K. (VIDEO)

Ever since announcing that she would be working with British apparel brand River Island to create her first-ever fashion line last summer, Rihanna has been hard at work in preparation for its London Fashion Week debut.

In a recently-released teaser video, the "Diamonds" diva gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at her design process.

"Every time I saw something on a rack, there was something I wanted to do to change it, and so I thought that the only way I could do that is by designing the perfect thing for me," she explained in the footage.

In the video, the 24-year-old is also seen directing co-designer Adam Selman to make the waistline on a pair of pants fit just like the ones she's already wearing.

"Mu style is definitely inspired by my mood," she continued. "So this collection definitely has a range of different moods and attitudes because I'm assuming my fans will be the same way."

Rihanna added, "My collection -- it's casual, it's chic, it's flirty. I want it to be for all body types. I want all types of girls to really want to wear it and feel comfortable in it, but still feel edgy. I want the character to come out in the clothes without trying too hard."
