Who would’ve guessed Las Vegas, a town that is affectionately called “Sin City,” could bring a group of feisty women together? After all the name calling, snarky comments and backstabbing behavior, the adult-sized sandbox of the West along with a stripper pole (of course!) brought harmony to such a contentious band of women on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Clearly, politicians and world leaders have it wrong about Switzerland being the country known for peacemaking.
Last week, Kyle Richards once again attempted to show newbie housewife Marisa Zanuck the less chaotic side of the women, by inviting her along with Brandi, Yolanda Foster, Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, Taylor Armstrong and big sister Kim Richards to a night of Moroccan-themed events at a restaurant. It seems Kyle is desperate for a do-over from her previous dinner that went straight to hell, courtesy of her friend and mouthpiece Faye Resnick’s vicious attack on Brandi. Memo to Kyle: stick to doing the splits and not hosting dinner parties. Honey, they are just not your thing.
Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t viewed Monday’s episode, “Stars and Stripes.”
This time around, Brandi decides to host a weekend getaway for the ladies in conjuncture with her burlesque and stripper class event. The outspoken blonde wanted to use the time to have the women see a different side of her, instead of her previous reckless attitude. Clearly, Brandi has a different idea on how to show the softer and gentler side of her personality. Honestly, a stripping class Brandi? What happened to a day of mani/pedis, with facials to bring about female bonding?
Later once the women headed out to dinner, Brandi confessed how much she adored being in love, but has adopted a tough exterior due to her marriage to Eddie Cibrian ending. Girl, we can’t fault you with that. Lisa and Kyle chimed in and told Brandi she doesn’t have to be such a hard chick; she can lighten up. Kyle went even further and recommended Brandi confide in others to break down her walls. Confide in Kyle? Is that a trick question? We all know how well that works! Once she becomes angry, she’ll blurt out all your business. Just ask her sis Kim all about it.
Kyle agreed she could be tough as nails herself (no kidding), but it was high time she and Brandi stopped all the drama between the two. It’s understandable that Brandi had a rough patch in her lifetime, but she needs to put it in the past and stop giving so much energy towards Eddie and his misdeeds with LeAnn Rimes. Why even give them that attention?
Afterwards, the women all used the opportunity to boost Brandi’s confidence by bashing LeAnn on her appearance and attempts to looks just like Brandi. Yes, girls, empowering each other by tearing another woman down is the surefire way to bring togetherness, even if it is against a homewrecker…
OMG!: Adrienne Maloof and then husband Paul Nassif taking glee in Faye bragging about attacking Brandi. How childish are they and cray to wonder why Brandi and Lisa aren’t speaking to them.
Thank you, TV gods.: Marisa shutting her mother’s request down when she asked to come to Las Vegas. It is a girls’ weekend, not mommy and me time.
Awk-ward: Kyle, Lisa and Yolanda discussing sex drives with Suzanne Somers. Kyle and Lisa just met Suzanne, they don’t even know her favorite color and already talking about sex so soon?
Hotness: Brandi working the stripper pole. She owned that thing and them some!
Fab-u-lous: The hotel the women stayed at in Las Vegas. These chicas sure know how to make a statement when they travel.
Can. Not. Wait.: To see the tiff between Camille/Lisa/Brandi/Yolanda. What made them go off on each other?
Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 7.5. Watching the women bond was nice, but brought on the ZZZZZZZZ’s at times.
Should Brandi confide in the group more? Sound off below!
