Kate Middleton’s father may be presented title before the birth of his first grandchild.

Michael Middleton -- a self-made millionaire -- is currently considered to be commoner, though rumor has it that Queen Elizabeth may present him with a peerage title.

What does this mean for Pippa and, more importantly, the royal baby?

Meanwhile, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands announced they she will abdicate the throne in favor of her son, Prince Willem-Alexander.

“As you all know in the coming days, I will be celebrating my 75th birthday and happily I remain in good health. And at the end of this year we will all be thinking about how our country became a monarchy exactly 200 years ago, marking a new era in our history. These two events signal for me a good momemt for me to abdicate the throne,” Queen Beatrix announced.

This came as a bit of a shock considering that Queen Elizabeth, 86, didn't do the same since taking her vows on June 2, 1953.
