Rihanna Joins Chris Brown in L.A. Court for Probation Hearing
The sighting comes just one day after Brown was accused of failing to complete his 180 days of court-ordered community service.
The “Diamonds” singer reportedly blew him a kiss and said something supportive to her rumored on-again beau before Brown, 23, walked into the courtroom with his lawyer Mark Geragos.
The sighting is an eye-opening one, as Brown’s probation stems from his 2009 felony assault that left Rihanna violently beaten-up and bruised.
Early Wednesday morning, Rihanna and Brown were spotted leaving an L.A. recording studio together in the latter’s black Porsche.
Brown is under fire for not completing his court-ordered community service as part of his probation, Deputy District Attorney Mary A. Murray indicated in a 19-page motion filed on Tuesday. According to the document, the Grammy-winning singer and his team failed to provide “credible, competent or verifiable evidence” that he had completed 180 days of labor in his home state of Virginia.
Brown is due back in court Apr. 5.
Shortly after Brown’s court appearance, his lawyer held a news conference outside his L.A. office, where he blasted the D.A.'s office.
“The D.A. is paralyzed with the thought that [Brown’s] probation will be terminated as soon as the community service hours have been completed . . . If that happens they won't be able to jock him around like they've been jocking him around," Geragos said.
“There has never been . . . I’ve never had any client who has been tortured by a D.A.’s office on probation like Chris Brown has.”
Brown's lawyer also addressed the presence of Rihanna, noting that she is "completely supportive" of the singer.
