Don't You Need a Shot of Brandy?
We think you do -- and to celebrate the singer's 34th birthday, we're looking back at her very best hits.
Justin Bieber wasn’t the first artist to have a hit single called “Baby.”
In 1994, Brandy ruled the charts with her song of the same name, the second single off her self-titled debut album.
The tune would go on to spend four weeks on top of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, receive a Grammy nomination for best Female R&B Vocal Performance and inspire a music video rich with skiing outfits and Times Square.
On Monday, Brandy, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, celebrates her 34th birthday after nearly two decades since the release of “Baby.”
And to honor the singer on her big day, Celebuzz is taking a trip down memory lane and into the vault of some of Brandy’s best hits ever.
You can bet our list will include Brandy’s 1998 duet with Monica, “The Boy is Mine." To date, the melodic catfight remains one of the most successful singles by a duo in music history.
In 2012, the pair reunited for a new single for Monica’s seventh studio album, “It All Belongs to Me.”
"Have You Ever?" (1998)
"The Boy is Mine" (1998)
"Top of the World" (1998)
"Long Distance" (2008)
"Sittin’ Up in My Room" (1995)
"What About Us?" (2002)
"Right Here (Departed)" (2008)
"Almost Doesn’t Count" (1999)
"Put It Down" (2012)
