Capturing the world's heart with her sophomore album "21,"  Adele has quickly become one of music's great female voices.

At 24, she has a collection of top-tier awards, rapidly climbs music charts and makes history with milestone sales - which is why Celebuzz ranks the British songstress in the Hollywood Power Index's top 10 most powerful celebrities under 30.

For Adele, 2012 brought lots of good fortune, both literally and figuratively. Ushering in the year with a new romance, the multiple award-winning singer confirmed her relationship with boyfriend and Life Water founder, Simon Konecki. Adele announced she was pregnant about six months later, on her website.

“I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” she wrote. “I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.”

Despite all of the life changes the past year brought, the new mother continued to kick butt professionally, as well. Dominating over fierce competition like Lady GagaRihannaBruno Mars and Katy Perry, the British songstress scored a total of six trophies at last year's Grammy Awards. Her big wins included the prestigious trifecta of Record, Song and Album of the Year. The history-making accomplishment tied Adele with Beyonce as the the most wins by a woman in one evening.

Making her first public appearance since the birth of her son, Adele stepped onstage at last month's Golden Globes Awards in a stunning floor-length, quarter-length sleeved black Burberry creation to accept the top prize for Best Original Song. Her chart-blazing James Bond theme song, “Skyfall,” beat out top competitors from fellow nominees Taylor Swift, Jon Bon Jovi and Keith Urban.

Now that awards season is underway, Adele will have the opportunity to rack up some additional accolades. The singer will take on the Academy Awards this month with a live performance of her Oscar-nominated theme song "Skyfall."

"It's an honor to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again," she recently said. "It's something I've never experienced and probably only ever will once!"

Will the singer continue to reign supreme in 2013? Listen to what Celebuzz's top experts have to say about the life and times of Adele in the video above.
