'PLL': Spencer and Mona
Spence and Mona's battles comes to a head.
Things got very interesting for Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) on Tuesday’s episode of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars as Ezra (Ian Harding) came back to town after meeting his son.

Meanwhile, “A” continued to torment Spencer (Troian Bellisario) after she spent time with Wren (Julian Morris) causing her to finally make a decision regarding telling the her friends about the real reason behind her and Toby’s (Keegan Allen) breakup.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Tuesday’s episode, “Hot Water.”

When Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Jason (Drew Van Acker) got closer to the truth about Wilden and Ali (Sasha Pieterse) on last week’s episode of PLL — with photographic evidence to prove it — “A” sent Jason flying down the elevator shaft. Luckily, Allison’s older brother is OK and hiding out but now it seems the girls have a big bug to deal with — Wilden.

On “Hot Water,” the creepy detective seeks the girls out for whatever information they might have on him and Hanna (Ashley Benson) lets it spill that they know all about his boat ride with Ali and CeCe.

Wilden spends the episode being a creep, but goes too far once he approaches Hanna’s mom, Ashley (Laura Leighton), at dinner and then precedes to erroneously pull her over for having a drink during her meal. After threatening her with statements such as, “Either you shut Hanna up or I will,” Ashley has a major lapse of judgment and HITS Wilden with her car!

Of course, when the two Marins go to check on him at the end of the episode he’s nowhere to be found. To top it off, the whole thing was caught on his squad car’s laptop. That just leaves us with the questions of when will “A” use this against them? And WHAT was Ashley thinking?

In the now missing picture with Wilden and Ali in Cape May was Cece (Vanessa Rae). Wanting to find out why she lied, Emily approached the shop keeper. Cece says that she was scared and thought Wilden killed Ali to keep her pregnancy a secret. I think it’s safe to assume, the Liars are thinking the same thing.

Cece also clarified why she was with Ali the night she went missing. Apparently, Allison had been freaking out about some videos, presumably by the NAT club, that everyone wanted to get their hands on including Spence’s big sis, Melissa (Torrey De Vitto). But when Ali went to get the videos – she went missing. Cece let Em know it was also Melissa who took that picture of the trio in Cape May.

Melissa’s ex, Wren, came back to check on Spence after witnessing her meltdown on Mona on last week’s episode. But the good doctor wasn’t only concerned about her mental health – he admitted that part of the reason he came to her was because he was hoping he stood a chance now that Toby was out of the picture.

Wren and Spencer share a seemingly nice dinner and kiss on the street moments before Spence sees a mysterious blond in a red coat. But a rare moment (lately at least) of happiness for Spencer results with torture from “A.” A black hoodied figure, whose build looks a lot like Toby’s, locks her in a sauna and turns up the heat past an insane 125 degrees. “Steamy with Wren, steamy with me,” says “A’s” note on the mirror. Looks like her ex may be jealous. Luckily, Aria (Lucy Hale) had received a text from Spence earlier and came to her rescue.

And with yet another terrifying experience over with, she tells Aria to gather the girls because she knows who is helping Mona.

As for Aria, she spent the episode dealing with Fitz family drama as Ezra finally came back to Rosewood. While he tells her not to fret about their relationship as he wants her in every part of his life, his mom’s perspective on her grandchild makes her wonder – how did her relationship go from high school to minivan so fast?

After sparring with her son, Mama Fitzgerald decides to kick her plans up a notch and puts the condo where Maggie (Larisa Olyenik) and Malcolm are living up for sale. Should we expect them to pop up in Rosewood and cause more drama for “Ezria”? Of course.

Buzz Moments:

OMG: I needed to rewind the moment Ashley decided it was best to run over Wilden with her car. Um, WHAT?!

Thank you, TV gods.: For Spencer finally realizing that she needs to tell the other Liars about Toby’s “A” team status

Awk-ward: Did Melissa really have to tell Spencer she bought that cologne for Wren? The elder Hastings sister likes to keep things real strange between the siblings.

Hotness: This episode of PLL featured very little in the way of hotness, but Spencer sure experienced some when locked in the sauna.

Fab-u-lous: There were some really cute clothes on this episode of PLL like Aria’s simple white T and scarf look, but I really liked Hanna’s blue blazer and black shirt dress. The dress is available (and on sale!) at Urban Outfitters.

Can. Not. Wait.: It seems Spence will finally come clean to the other Liars and I am highly anticipating their reactions.

Celebuzz (1-10): 7. This episode appeared to be mostly filler, but was enjoyable nonetheless. The pieces of this season’s mysteries are slowly coming together.

What was your reaction when Ashley hit Detective Wilden with her car? Sound off in the comments below!
