Christian Dior Has A New Muse

Jennifer Lawrence goes for bridal glam in Dior Haute Couture for the Oscars.

Miss Dior, indeed.

On the heels of her new ad campaign as the new face of Miss Dior, Jennifer Lawrence opted for Dior Haute Couture for the 85th annual Academy Awards on Sunday.

With her hair swept up and donning a diamond back chain, the Silver Linings Playbook star floated down the red carpet in a cream, floor-grazing, bride-esque gown. But getting glam ahead of the big night was quite an ordeal for Lawrence.

"Today was stressful," she told E! News. "I had no time to eat. I am starving.... Everybody in my family got ready at my house. I felt like Steve Martin in Father Of The Bride moving all my furniture around."

During the Sunday ceremony, Lawrence will vie for Best Actress for her performance alongside Bradley Cooper in the David O. Russell-helmed Silver Linings Playbook. But she faces stiff competition: Jessica Chastain for Zero Dark Thirty, Emmanuelle Riva for Amour, Quvenzhané Wallis for Beasts of Southern Wild, and Naomi Watts for The Impossible.

"It's been such an amazing ride. This was such a passion project for all of us," she said. "We cared so much about it and loved it and just if one person feels that way...and then the way the audiences have reacted has been so amazing. To be able to share this with each other...it couldn't be better."

This year marks Lawrence's second Academy Awards appearance, on the heels of her 2011 Best Actress nod for her highly-acclaimed turn in Winter's Bone at the age of 20. But she was edged out by Natalie Portman, who took home the statuette for her role in Black Swan.
