Watch: JLaw Takes A Tumble... As She Climbs To Oscar Glory
Jennifer Lawrence stumbles and picks herself up, with a little help from Hugh Jackman, to accept her Academy Award.
She was first "the girl on fire," and now she's the girl on the floor.
Upon hearing her name announced as the Best Actress winner at the 2013 Academy Awards, a stunned and speechless Jennifer Lawrence rushed to the stage to accept her award -- only to take a tumble. But as the crowd came to their feet, she was graceful as ever.
"You guys are only standing up because you feel bad that I fell, that's so embarrassing. Thank you," she joked once she took the mic.
The 22-year-old, who won for her role as Tiffany in Silver Linings Playbook, tripped on the hem of her Dior Haute Couture gown while walking up the stairs to the podium.
Lawrence had made many memorable speeches during this awards season: when she won Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes in January, she gleefully announced "I beat Meryl [Streep]," a reference to The First Wives Club.
After winning at the Screen Actors Guild award, Lawrence spoke of her first acting gig on a commercial for the MTV's My Super Sweet 16.
This was Lawrence's second Academy Award nomination. She previously received a nod in 2011 for A Winter's Bone.
