Now That's Below The Belt
One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles is floored after a fan throws an unexpected gift.
Forget flowers, bras or underwear, Directioners have found their new token of affection: shoes.
During a concert in Glasgow, Scotland, an avid admirer caught Harry Styles' attention on Tuesday evening after throwing a shoe on stage, prompting Styles to ask about the mysterious gift.
Well, looks like he got his answer. Soon after, the fan threw the other shoe, pelting the One Direction singer square in the crotch. Styles immediately collapsed to the ground in pain, with his bandmates Liam Payne and Zayn Malik rushing to his aid.
"Man down! Man down!" Payne shouted.
No need to worry. The 19-year-old cracked a smile and pulled himself back up after doing a few lunges and stretches, making sure that everything was...ahem, put in place.
But the painful incident was no laughing matter for the venue's security. The frenzied shoe thrower was immediately escorted out, but not before Styles and Niall Horan had the final word. The British boy band were quick to forgive and forget, allowing the teen fan and her friend to watch the remainder of the concert. (via The Daily Mail)
Last week, 1D kicked off their Take Me Home tour to a jam-packed crowd in London's O2 Arena. For the next eight months, their sold-out shows will take them throughout the U.K., U.S., Canada and Japan.
And things are getting even more animated for 1D, to say the least. As a continuing part of their work with U.K.'s Comic Relief, the fivesome got the ultimate cartoon makeover for a special edition of BeanoMAX in a tribute to the 25th anniversary of Red Nose Day, which raises funds for the poor and disadvantaged.
The boys will take the stage in Glasgow, Scotland once more on Weds., Feb 27.
