Miley Splits... From Twitter
In the wake of rumors about her fiance Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus vows to take a break from social media.
Miley Cyrus has had enough.
On Wednesday, the 20-year-old superstar told her 11 million Twitter followers that she’s taking a break from social media.
“I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn’t call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media,” she wrote.
Last month, tabloids started to speculate the Last Song couple were headed for troubled times when Hemsworth, 23, was spotted leaving a Grey Goose Pre-Oscar event at the Chateau Marmont with January Jones while Cyrus took her mother -- and not her beau -- to Elton John’s annual party on the same evening.
Despite spending that Oscar evening apart, a source close to the couple said the engaged duo are still "totally together."
Cyrus, who has been engaged to The Hunger Games actor since last summer, is expected to release her fourth studio album under RCA this year. The “Can’t Be Tamed” singer recently signed with Larry Rudolph, Britney Spears’ longtime music manager.
Cyrus briefly quit Twitter in 2009, citing the need for privacy in a rap video called “Miley Says Goodbye to Twitter.”
