Watch: Louis’ Memory Lapse — Live!

1D Kick Off Tour
The boyband kicks off their tour in London.
Talk about a show stopper.

While on the road for their Take Me Home tour, Louis Tomlinson had a mind-lapse when he forgot the lyrics midway through a cover of Wheatus’ “Teenage Dirtbag” during a concert in Cardiff, Wales.

“I just forgot the lyrics. I’m not even going to pretend that I know them,” the One Direction singer admitted, trying to sing the part.

As he concentrated on remembering his lines, Tomlinson’s bandmates — Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne — came to the rescue, filling in for their flustered pal.

“I’m sorry, Cardiff,” the 21-year-old said as the crowd cheered him on.

With 117 dates ahead of them, 1D’s massive world tour is already proving to be memorable.

At a show in Glasgow, Scotland, a frenzied fan hurled a shoe onstage, which hit Styles square in the groin. Despite falling to the ground in pain, the 19-year-old mustered a smile and promptly got back to his feet after a few stretches.

The British boy band are currently in the U.K. leg of their tour, with upcoming performances in Dublin and Belfast, Ireland on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
