Why We Love Rachel Weisz
Being married to one of the most handsome men in the world, pure theater chops and a look to die for make Weisz one of our all-time favorites.
She was in The Constant Gardener
Weisz earned her first Golden Globe, SAG award, and Oscar nominations and wins for her supporting role in The Constant Gardner, in 2005. This solidified Weisz’status as a bonafide movie star. An amazing actress in a killer movie.
She makes an amazing witch
In Oz The Great and Powerful, Weisz plays Evanora, a powerful witch desperately trying to hold sway over the people of the Emerald City. It’s a performance that’s not always as it seems — but one we can’t stop talking about.
She married James Bond
After Weisz ended her nine-year marriage to Darren Aronofsky, she quickly found herself a new man. Not just any man, but James Bond himself, Daniel Craig. The couple went from dating in December 2010 to married June 2011, making Weisz the envy of millions of people around the world. Any woman who can say that she made an honest man out of James Bond should be celebrated.
She does legitimate theater
Not only does Weisz have a steady career in film, but she is also a seasoned theater performer. From her career beginnings in 1994, the actress has graced stages big and small in London, England. With shows including A Street Car Named Desire and Suddenly Last Summer, to name a few, she’s recieved constant acclaim for her theater work, further affirming her versatility in all forms of acting.
She is aging beautifully
Weisz specifically stated her opposition to plastic surgery in an interview in 2009. Despite that today she still looks virtually ageless and at age 43 she is still considered a sex symbol. If she is what a natural, 43-year-old looks like, then can we all be that age?
