The 300 actor — who in January 2012 told TMZ he didn’t know who Glanville was, even after Glanville said he was an “11 out of 10″ in the sack — explained the hiccup this week in an interview with Howard Stern.
“I didn’t know her last name,” Butler admitted with a laugh. “I didn’t know she was a celebrity. And I didn’t know she was going to go and f***** tell people about it.”
“I called and said, ‘One, I’m not very happy that you did that. There’s certain things that you got to keep a little private,'” he revealed. “‘And two, I’m sorry because I said I didn’t know who you were.’ [Laughs]”
“She said, ‘I’m doing the press for my new show, and now they don’t want to talk about the show. They just want to say, ‘So Gerard Butler claims he doesn’t even know you, and you said you had sex with him!'”
“We hung out, we had a little bit of fun,” Butler told Stern.
