Justin Timberlake confirms a second volume of 'The 20/20 Experience' is on the way.
It's true — Justin Timberlake's 20/20 vision includes a second volume.
The Grammy-winning singer confirmed speculation that he will be dropping a follow-up to his highly anticipated comeback album, The 20/20 Experience, which officially hit shelves on Tuesday.
"Let me clear a rumor up," Timberlake told host Ryan Seacrest at the El Rey Theatre, addressing how Roots drummer Questlove revealed that Timberlake's 10-song album would be followed up by another 10 tracks in November. "The news that this is only the first half of the album, that's true. There is another half."
Talk of a a 20/20 Experience sequel was sparked over the weekend by Questlove, who revealed the "Suit & Tie" hitmaker is ready to drop another album before the end of the year.
“spoiler alert. 20/20 Vol 2 comes out in nov,” Quest said in an Okayplayer chat board posting, after he brought his turntable prowess to Timberlake’s club jam session at South by Southwest on Saturday night, where he helped close the Austin, Tex., festival by turning up the 700-plus crowd backed by his Tennessee Kids band. “(10 songs now . . . 10 songs later= 20 vision)."
Just how would Questlove know about Timberlake’s music-making? Well, he just spent a week working with Timberlake when the “Suit & Tie” singer took over Late Night with Jimmy Fallon; Quest’s band, The Roots, serve as the house band.
