From The Dance Floor To The Emergency Room ... 'DWTS' Injuries in 7 Clicks
Olympic skater Dorothy Hamill is the latest star be struck by the "Dancing with the Stars" injury curse.
Dorothy Hamill is the latest in a long line of stars to withdraw from ABC's hit show Dancing With The Stars due to untimely injuries.
The 56-year-old Olympic skating icon called time-out on her quest for the coveted mirror ball trophy after receiving strict instructions from her spine surgeon.
"I realized this isn’t just a muscle thing,” she explained after the show about the cyst on her spine. “It’s radiating down my leg and my foot and I have no stability in my ankle and I can’t pull my toes back.” Yikes!
Celebuzz has discovered DWTS is a mighty hazardous occupation and there are plenty of famous competitors with the scars and medical bills to prove it.
While judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman, can be harsh with their critiques, it's the rigors of performing The Cha Cha, Quickstep and Foxtrot, at speed that can dance them right into the doctor's office.
