Singer Billy Joel makes a $10 million profit after selling his Central Park penthouse.
The "Piano Man" is moving on out.
Billy Joel has sold his breathtaking New York City penthouse for whopping $11.4 million -- making him a profit almost $10 million.
Purchased by the "Just the Way You Are" singer in 1998 for $1.675 million, the home stands at a sprawling 10,000 square feet and boasts two bedrooms and 2.5 bedrooms.
In addition, the impressive abode -- which once also housed Joel's ex-wife, model Christie Brinkley -- features three fireplaces, three balconies and 100 feet of windows overlooking Central Park.
The penthouse was previously owned by CNN founder Ted Turner, but since had been remodeled to suit Joel's needs, including added reinforcements on the platformed floors to support the music icon's grand piano.
The building itself offers white-glove amenities and services including a full-time staff of doormen, concierges, private car and driver, personal laundry and housekeeping service and a 24-hour fitness center. According to the listing, management fees alone rack up to a whopping $8,274!
