WATCH: D.L. Hughley’s ‘DWTS’ Remedy: “Prayer And Advil”

It’s safe to say D.L. Hughley hasn’t had the easiest time when it comes to the harsh critics in the Dancing With the Stars judge’s seats.

But he’s getting his dancing legs back one day a time — literally.

“I think this is the first day I can feel my legs,” he told Celebuzz during rehearsal for week 4 of the dance-floor competition.

So just how is Cheryl Burke’s partner dealing with the stresses of practicing six hours a day, while traveling the country on his comedy tour, plus receiving some of the lowest scores in Dancing history?

“By prayer and Advil,” he said, laughing.

Burke is behind him all the way: “He’s trying so hard… we’re doing the best that we can,” she said. “We can’t even get passed a four [score]… so we’re trying to do that.”

And Hughley, who has called the judges “bullies” and said he doesn’t want to be a “verbal punching bag,” has a message for the judges (listen up, Len Goodman) who are giving him those below average scores.

But for now, he’s thankful the fans have kept him safe to hoof on for at least one more week.

“I think they love us or they’re trying to kill me,” he joked.

Watch the video above to see what Hughley has to say to his harshest critic.
