Athletes Who Became Celebs After The Olympics

These sporting stars found success outside the arena - and in business, movies and reality TV

Where do you go when the Olympic flame has trickled out, and its time to start a new life after competitive sports?

If you’re one of the former Olympians in today’s gallery, that could be anywhere from a top-rated reality TV franchise to the world of men’s fashion design (but most likely it’s the reality TV thing).

From gold medal-winning decathlete turned world-famous step dad Bruce Jenner, to the entrepreneurial spirit of former Winter Games winner Shawn White, these are the athletes who became famous for sport, then stayed famous on TV, in the movies or in the business world.

Ryan Lochte is certainly one athlete who is making the most of his post-games moment.   After becoming a worldwide celebrity phenomenon, the multiple Olympic-medal-winning swimmer now has his own reality series, What Would Ryan Lochte Do? on E!    You’ll laugh, you’ll cry (Ryan does), you’ll get to know the man like you never thought possible.

In the series premiere, which aired Sunday, you’re going to learn a lot about Lochte, his life, his family and the ever-present crew of friends he calls “the Lochterage.”  Episode one takes you behind the scenes of the swimmer’s heavy training regimen and his aspirations of taking on the fashion industry, sure – but the real fun goes down with the sun as we see how Lochte parties, where he takes his dates, why he’s grilled constantly by his family, and even learn the meaning of his favorite catchphrases.

JEAH, it’s going to be a wild ride on this season of What Would Ryan Lochte Do?airing every Sunday at 10/9c – only on E!
