Chris Kelly of Rap Duo Kris Kross Dead At 34

Chris Kelly, known as one-half of the ’90s rap duo Kris Kross, died Wednesday afternoon after being found unresponsive inside his Georgia home. He was 34.

Cpl. Kay Lester later told the Associated Press that Kelly’s death may have been caused by a drug overdose. (Full details here.)

Kelly and his Kris Kross counterpart, Chris Smith, rose to fame in 1992 thanks to their hit song “Jump.” The song spent eight weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
