New Kids On The Block, Aerosmith To Headline Boston Strong Benefit Concert

James Taylor, Dane Cook and Jimmy Buffett are also on the May 30th lineup.

Boston will be getting huge support from the music world come May 30.

On Friday, it was announced that Beantown favorites New Kids on the Block, Aerosmith and James Taylor will headline a concert benefitting victims of the Boston marathon bombing.

Boston Strong: An Evening of Support and Celebration will also include apperances by Jason Aldean, Jimmy Buffett, Carol King, Boston and Dane Cook.


“Like so many other proud Bostonians who have been extremely generous, we are honored to step up and do our part to help the victims and their families,” NKOTB’s Donnie Wahlberg said in a statement. [via Reuters]

“Hopefully this event will not only raise money, but spirits as well."

Proceeds from the benefit concert, set to take place at the TD Garden, will go to the One Fund created by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday.
