This Is How You Can Live Like Jay-Z… All You Need Is $1.8 Million
That’s right, Brooklyn’s finest once lived in New Jersey.
We all know Jay-Z earned his fame as a rapper in the mid-90s and since then has amassed an enormous empire including a record label, restaurants, clothing line, stake in the Brooklyn nets, even a sports agency and countless No. 1 hits of his own.
Celebuzz has all the exclusive pics.
The Brooklyn-bred music multi-millionaire clearly knows how to live the high-life (as he’s reportedly buying his wife Beyonce and baby Blue Ivy a private island in the Bahamas and it’ll be easy to get from mansion to mansion on their private jet that Queen Bey was rumored to have bought for her hubby.)
But Mr. Carter’s old abode is nothing close to that by any definition. The two-story palatial penthouse located about 30 minutes outside The Big Apple was purchased in the ‘90s for $1.36 million. And it’s now on the market for a cool $1.849. (And if that’s just a bit too steep, you can snag it for bargain rental rate of $10,000 a month.)
So just how was Jay-Z flaunting his big pimpin persona?
The nearly 5,000 square-foot stunning duplex includes panoramic views of NYC and the Hudson River from every room, three granite trimmed gas fireplaces, sitting room and exercise room.
And the hip-hop king didn’t stop the extravagance there. It’s all in the decadent details.
The Porcelanosa designed spa-like master bath boasts a soaking tub, oversized shower with frameless enclosure, European designed wall tiles and heated slate flooring, and custom designed double sink vanity. Oh, and there’s also a granite entry foyer and a floor-to-ceiling granite tiled powder room, Brazilian cherry wood flooring, custom built-in cabinetry, and more closets to stash away all those designer duds.
It also includes a state of the art chef’s kitchen. (And who needs one dishwasher when you can have two, of course.)
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin), it comes with a formal banquet-size dining room and living room with double door entry to the balcony for a picture-perfect view of New York City.
And that’s just the top floor!
The lower levels has a separate entry, three more bedrooms, balcony, and comes with a top-of-the-line entertainment system.
And at Mr. Carter’s beck and call — a 24-hour doorman, outdoor pool, fitness center, four parking spaces and valet parking.
