Beyonce Returns To Work One Day After Postponing Antwerp Show: ‘My Doctors Told Me Not To Perform Tonight’
Beyonce Knowles’ fans in Antwerp, Belgium may have to wait another two weeks for their second show from “The Mrs. Carter Show” world tour, but on Wednesday, all was forgiven when the Queen took center stage inside the Sportpaleis.
“I just have to say, I feel so good to be on this stage. I have the best fans in the world,” an emotional Beyonce said in a moment caught by a fan in the front row.
“Now, my doctors told me not to perform tonight, but there was no way in the world . . . I just have to say that you all have given me so much inspiration. And I just want to thank you guys.”
The 31-year-old superstar was forced to cancel Antwerp’s first show, scheduled for Tuesday, due to dehydration and exhaustion. On Wednesday, Beyonce posted a handwritten letter apologizing to her fans.
According to the singer, this is the first time she’s postponed in a show in her career.
Beyonce will return to Antwerp on May 31.
