The 2013 Cannes Film Festival kicks off today in France and already it promises to be one of the most star-studded events in the festival's 66-year history.

Case in point: Just look at this year's ridiculous jury, which includes more Oscar winners than the actual Academy Awards ceremony. Such is the case when you hire Steven Spielberg as Jury President.

Who else will be judging this year's lineup? Check out 2013's official jury, below.

Steven Spielberg Profession: Director Claim to Fame: Oscar-winning director behind such classics as Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan and last year's Lincoln.

Nicole Kidman Profession: Actress Claim to Fame: Oscar-winning actress who has starred in such movies as The Hours, Moulin Rouge! and this year's Grace Kelly biopic, Grace of Monaco. She's also one of the few A-list stars out there who is actually willing to take a risk on screen. (Hello, The Paperboy!)

Ang Lee Profession: Director Claim to Fame: Oscar-winning director behind such movies as Brokeback Mountain and last year's Life of Pi.

Christoph Waltz Profession: Actor Claim to Fame: Oscar-winning actor who served as Quentin Tarantino's muse in Inglourious Basterds and last year's Django Unchained.

Daniel Auteuil Profession: Actor Claim to Fame: Won the Festival's Best Actor award in 1996 for his performance in The Eighth Day.

Cristian Mungiu Profession: Director Claim to Fame: Won the Festival's most coveted prize, the Palme d'Or, in 2007 for his riveting film 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days. He also won Best Screenplay last year for Beyond the Hills.

Lynne Ramsay Profession: Director Claim to Fame: Indie auteur who recently garnered critical acclaim for the Tilda Swinton vehicle We Need to Talk About Kevin. She was also the subject of speculation in the press after she bailed on filming Jane Got a Gun earlier this year.

Naomi Kawase Profession: Director Claim to Fame: Has won a couple of prizes at previous festivals for her work directing Moe no suzaku and Mogari no mori.

Vidya Balan Profession: Actress Claim to Fame: Popular Indian actress who has starred in everything from No One Killed Jessica, to The Dirty Picture and Kahaani.
