Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix Are Making Another Movie Together
American citizen Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix, whose last on-screen collaboration earned them an Oscar and Oscar nomination, respectively, will join forces again to film the next movie from Paul Thomas Anderson, Deadline reported Wednesday.
The film, titled Inherent Vice, follows a cop (Phoenix) investigating the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend. Jena Malone and Martin Short, of all people, have also joined the cast, according to The Wrap.
No word yet on who Witherspoon will play. (Maybe that whole arrest thing was just her being method?)
Witherspoon and Phoenix previously costarred in 2005’s Walk the Line, about the behind-the-scenes relationship between singers Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. It was a big hit.
