Prince Harry Wears A Smart Tux, Queen Elizabeth Chats With Giants At Buckingham Palace
While Her Majesty and other members of the royal family garden-partied at Buckingham Palace today, Prince Harry supported wounded veterans at the Walking With The Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge Crystal Ball gala.
The dinner, held at Grosvenor House and hosted by Ben Fogle, was “all about creating opportunities,” according to Harry.
Goulding performed at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding reception, and serenaded their first dance with “Your Song.”
Come November, Harry will join British wounded servicemen and women in a race to the South Pole. The team will compete against the United States in a competition aimed at highlighting the “courage and determination” of those injured while serving their country.
“He is a soldiers’ soldier and will bring a spotlight on what’s being done to help these outstanding men and women,” the prince’s private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton said prior to Harry’s US tour.
Meanwhile, over at granny’s house…Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice attended their very first Buckingham Palace garden party, hosted by Her Majesty. Beatrice wore a saggy hat not unlike the one she sported at 2012’s Trooping of the Colour, while Eugenie brought her A-game in a Robyn Coles fascinator, according to the Daily Express.
Guests included members of Team GB’s water polo and basketball teams, some of whom towered over Queen Elizabeth. Never one to blend into the crowd, however, the tiny monarch wore a pink hat and outfit by her personal dressmaker, Angela Kelly.
