Bruno Mars’ Mother Dies at 55: Report
Bernadette Hernandez died at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu on Saturday after suffering a brain aneurysm. A publicist from Atlantic Records (Mars’ label) confirmed the news to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
Hernandez was 55.
She leaves behind her musical children of Mars, his brother Eric and sisters Presley, Jamie, Tahiti and Tiara.
Hernandez and Mars’ father Peter Hernandez divorced when the singer was still a child.
Mars, who released his second studio album Unorthodox Jukebox in December, is scheduled to kick off his Moonshine Jungle world tour on June 22 in Washington, D.C.
