Comedy Giants Of The 21st Century

Once, the giants of 20th Century comedy ruled the Earth.  Seinfeld, Leno, and Chris Rock all made their mark on stage and on screen and established themselves – alongside a long list of others – as the best in the funny business.

But when the 21st Century dawned, a new breed of comedic talent began to take over the entertainment scene.  Names like Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Jonah Hill, Mindy Kaling, Jason Segel, and Paul Rudd started to showcase their immense talents – and made their push to join a growing comedy Mount Rushmore.

In today’s gallery we take a look at the comedy giants from the past decade – showcasing names we may not have known in 1999, but couldn’t live without in 2013.

There’s plenty of comedic star power on display in the upcoming apocalyptic laugh fest, This Is The End.  The movie, which releases in June and stars Rogen, McBride, Hill, James Franco, Jay Baruchel, Craig Robinson, Michael Cera and a veritable “who’s who of funny” all playing themselves, tells the tale of six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles.

To find out how it all goes down, see This Is The End, opening in theaters everywhere Wednesday, June 12th.

The end is almost here!  For tickets, showtimes and more movie intel, hop online and check out the official site.
