Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll Make Their Debut As a Couple

New couple Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll stepped out together for the first time at an AFI event honoring Mel Brooks. The two have been rumored to be dating for about a month, but had not attended an event together, until now.

Poehler walked the red carpet alone in a floral print dress, but once inside, she was seated next to Kroll. Poehler and fellow comedian Will Arnett announced they were splitting up after nine years of marriage last fall. Poehler and Arnett have two children together.

While Kroll has a Comedy Central show of his own, he also has a recurring role on Poehler’s show Parks & Recreation playing a radio DJ named The Douche who is a bit of a, well, you guessed it.

Not only did Poehler attend the event, she also spoke, teasingly confusing the writer of Spaceballs with another icon. “I’m so honored to be here tonight. I’m one of the younger presenters of the evening, believe it or not. This is embarrassing to admit, but I thought we were honoring Mel B from the Spice Girls.”
