Tom Hanks Wants $5 Million For This L.A. Mansion

Screen legend Tom Hanks splashed out $1.9 million on this Los Angeles pad in 1988… and 25 years later he’s banking on making a pretty profit, asking a whopping $5.22 million.

The all around amazingly talented actor and his wife of 25 years, actress/singer Rita Wilson, are saying goodbye to one of their many L.A. digs, starting with this one complete with 4 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, library and private beauty salon, according to Trulia.

The 6,289 square foot abode has an antique atmosphere with a romantic courtyard setting and whimsical painting on the foyer ceiling.

The Hollywood power couple are no strangers to the real estate game.

Two years ago they paid $26 million for a Pacific Palisades mansion, as well as a Palisades property No. 2 that they picked up in January 2010 for $1.45 million. And we can’t forget the beachfront Malibu estate they’ve owned since the early 1990s.

It definitely pays to be a two-time Oscar winner.
