Exclusive Look Inside AMC’s ‘The Killing’ Reveals A Glass Case Of Emotion

For a show that was essentially dead this time last year, the third season of AMC’s The Killing has more than proven why it was brought back to life. Its characters (and the actors who play them) are engaging.

Led by Mireille Enos, who also appears as Brad Pitt’s wife in World War Z, and the charismatic Joel Kinnaman, the large cast of characters really do a good job of slowly revealing the soul behind each person.

Sure, the procedural had the tendency to beat it’s story lines to a bloody pulp. The lack of a resolution at the end of the first season forced many fans to abandon the show. But its third outing, however, has managed to tighten up the world Linden and Holder live in. And it’s finally focused on the things that the audience actually care about, the trial and error of solving murders in a timely manner.

Fingers crossed that we all find out who the elusive Pied Piper is by the end of this year’s season finale.

In the meantime, check out some exclusive images from Sunday’s new episode, Scared and Running. Per usual, all of the characters have their serious faces on. That includes Peter Sarsgaard’s incarcerated Ray Seward giving someone a whole lot of sass through a plate glass window. Let’s just hope whoever it is makes it out of that prison in one piece.

The Killing airs Sunday at 9PM on AMC.
