‘The First Time I Met Don Rickles’: John Stamos, Bob Saget and More Tell All

Monday night, a slew of celebrities gathered at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City to honor Don Rickles, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Friars Foundation. Rickles has been a household name since he began appearing frequently on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1965. He is best known for his insult comedy and, to some, being lampooned by Rickles is a sign you’ve really made it. More recently, Rickles is known as the voice of Mr. Potato Head in ToyStory.

The red carpet before the event was littered with celebrities and I asked each person to recount a favorite story of theirs involving Don Rickles. Here are some of the best.
