Kristen Bell Proposes To Dax Shepard After Gay Marriage Resumes In California
Love is all around.
After the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act Wednesday morning, allowing gay marriage to resume in the state of California, Veronica Mars actress and longtime sloth enthusiast Kristen Bell announced she was finally ready to marry fiance Dax Shepard.
The couple, who first got engaged in 2009 after two years of dating, had previously vowed to wait until their gay friends could marry.
“@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove,” Bell, 32, tweeted to her 38-year-old beau following the ruling.
Earlier this year, the duo welcomed a daughter named Lincoln.
“We’ve been very vocal about not wanting to be married in a state that doesn’t allow that right to all of its citizens,” Bell told Celebuzz last August regarding her decision to wait for marriage. “We’ll wait until California gets on the right side of history.”
Well, she better start planning for her nuptials now.
