What Kim Kardashian Gave Kanye West For Father's Day
Kanye West got an extra-special surprise from girlfriend Kim Kardashian for Father's Day -- which was just days after he welcomed daughter North West -- this year. On Monday, the rapper took to Twitter to show off his one-of-a-kind gift from the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star: two computer mice signed by Apple co-founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.
"One of the other gifts my girl gave me for fathers day," West, 36, tweeted alongside a snapshot of the priceless memorabilia July 1.
So why this thoughtful -- albeit a little nerdy -- trinket? West himself has always been a longtime admirer of the Jobs, once famously calling himself the "Steve Jobs" of the rap game.
"I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means," he said in an interview with the New York Times. "I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period. By a long jump. I honestly feel that because Steve has passed, you know, it’s like when Biggie passed and Jay-Z was allowed to become Jay-Z."
"I think that's a responsibility that I have, to push possibilities, to show people: 'This is the level that things could be at,'" he continued to explain. "So when you get something that has the name Kanye West on it, it’s supposed to be pushing the furthest possibilities. I will be the leader of a company that ends up being worth billions of dollars, because I got the answers."
Well, he's also got a pair of out-dated computer equipment too.
